Doar O Saber is a social-impact project focused on encouraging blood donation. I built the backend as a REST API with Flask and PostgreSQL, handling user management and talk/lecture scheduling for the organization, with 17 RESTful endpoints for authentication, user registration, and lecture management, documented interactively via Swagger/OpenAPI.
Building a secure, well-documented API as the sole backend developer for a nonprofit, on a short timeline (November 2025–January 2026), while keeping the codebase simple enough for a small team to maintain going forward.
Implemented JWT-based authentication for secure resource access, modeled the domain with PostgreSQL for consistent relational storage, and organized routes with consistent naming and structure — plus interactive Swagger/OpenAPI docs so the API is self-explanatory for future contributors.
